Tabernacle of David Church in partnership with LoveJoy Special Needs Center formed New Life Mentorship Program to restore a positive life direction through relationship building, small groups and mentoring programs to Michigan Prisoner Re-Entry Initiative (MPRI) parolees and ex-offenders residing in Clinton, Eaton and Ingham counties. This New Life Mentorship Program initiative provides individual attention to those wishing to be more accountable and encouraged.
The New Life Mentorship Program will focus on the ex-prisoner’s personal development and growth.
The goals of the program are to:
·Enhance the dignity of participants by encouraging them to make choices that will help them become successful.
·Provide participants with the interpersonal support from mentors and staff that will help them solve problems, gain hope and increase their confidence.
·Reduce the rate of recidivism for the program’s participants.
